About
Welcome to Martin Jost Music!
I am an academically trained composer, orchestrator, and music educator with a strong focus on both creative work and analytical understanding of music. My background combines formal music education with professional experience in composition, arranging, and score preparation.
I have received seven awards from regional, national, and international music competitions, including the Golden Clef Award as one of the best students of my generation. Years of focused study and practice have led me to develop a highly refined relative pitch and a detailed analytical listening ability, allowing me to perceive and understand subtle musical structures and nuances.
Alongside my creative projects, I have a strong analytical background in music theory, orchestration, and notation. I worked professionally as a music engraver for Tomplay, using Sibelius to produce precise, publication-ready scores ranging from Bach to contemporary repertoire. I also teach music theory and musicianship, which has strengthened my ability to break down complex musical concepts into clear, structured explanations.
I am particularly interested in applying my musical expertise to emerging technologies, including AI systems working with musical analysis, evaluation, and generation.
